POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Director of Nursing Education
Carl Albert State College has an opening for a
Director of Nursing Education. This is a full-time position (12 month contract) at the Poteau campus.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The administrator of the nursing education
program, with institutional input, shall have the responsibility for:
1.
The
administration of the nursing program;
2.
Preparation
and administration of the budget for the nursing program;
3.
Implementation
of faculty development and performance review;
4.
Recommendation
of qualified faculty for appointment, promotion, & retention;
5.
Notification
to the OK Board of Nursing of faculty appointments, changes in the program or
its administration, and reports as directed by the Board;
6.
Develop and maintain records and
reports needed for programmatic accreditation.
7.
Coordinates
and prepares clinical schedules & semester schedules of nursing courses;
8.
Some
travel required between Poteau and Sallisaw campuses and clinical sites;
9.
Various
other duties as required by the college and the Nursing Board.
MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Registered Nurse
with a minimum of two (2) years full-time equivalent practice in a
clinical setting within 5 years of the first teaching position;
- A minimum of a
Master’s degree in Nursing;
- Hold a valid
license to practice as an RN in the states of Oklahoma and Arkansas
- One (1) year of
full-time teaching experience in a nursing education program leading to
licensure.
SALARY: $65,000 plus Benefit
